How Does Goldbug Test The Gold?

Gold is tested and weighed right in front of you using the industry’s best equipment by trained specialists. For guests, watching us test their gold can be half the fun.

How Much Does Goldbug Pay For Gold Items?
A:
The payout offer is based on the karat and weight of the piece.  Goldbug Party uses the London PM Fix which fluctuates daily, as the basis of the calculation used to determine the payout.  When there are abnormal market conditions prices will be adjusted.

Do You Remove The Stones?
A:
We will remove stones if they are on prongs. Although we try to be as careful as possible, we are not jewelers so there is no guarantee that the stone will not be scratched or chipped. We have tools you can use if you would like to remove the stones yourself. We buy items with stones but we only pay for the gold.

Do You Pay Cash?
A:
No. It is too dangerous to carry cash to parties. In addition, we do not know how much we will need for payouts in advance. Our checks are standard business checks that can be cashed at any financial institution.

What Happens To The Jewelry After Goldbug Party Buys It?

It will be shipped to a refinery within 24 hours and melted down.

What Type Of Items Do You Buy?

You’d be amazed at the value of the unwanted gold jewelry people have lying around.  Regardless of age or condition, Goldbug Party will purchase any yellow, white, or rose 9k, 10k, 14k, 18k, 22k or 24k gold items (necklaces, charms, bracelets, anklets, single earrings, rings, key chains, cuff links, pins, medals, class rings, etc.  We will even purchase dental gold!).

There is absolutely no pressure to sell your items. The Goldbug Party representative will explain the process to you as they test and price out your gold. You can then decide if you would like to sell.
